MACUSA
[break]The Magical Congress of the United States of America (shortened MACUSA) is the magical body in charge of governing the wizarding population of the United States of America. It is led by the President of the Magical Congress of the United States of America. Unlike the No-Maj United States Congress, which is divided into a House of Representatives and a Senate, the MACUSA is unicameral. Below is a list of all the jobs that it is possible for you to have or apply for at MACUSA at this moment in time.
Some jobs are taken so make sure you check the claims.
president & support staff
President: this is the person who is in charge of the wizarding government
Vice President: this is the person who is second in command of the president
Federal Identity Commissioner: this person is responsible for keeping records of MACUSA employees and certifying employee identification
Keeper of Treasure and Dragots: like the secretary of the treasury, they are responsible for creating economic policies and managing the government's budget.
Heads of Departments: these people run their own departments, but ultimately answer to the president, more about them below.
dpt magical law enforcement
Head of Department: these people run their own departments, but ultimately answer to the president
Assistant Head of Department: these people answer to the head of department, but often do the same jobs.
Federal Bureau of Aurors tasked with hunting down and capturing dark wizards: once a criminal is captured they are generally handed over to the dpt of justice. it is not uncommon for criminals to resist arrest; some choose to fight to the death rather than let themselves be captured.
Federal Bureau of Covert Vigilance and No-Maj Obliviation: tasked with using spells of concealment and protection in order to hide the magical community from the non-magical population while also working with memory modifications in order to cover things up. otherwise known as obliviators.
Federal Wand Permit Officers: tasked with issuing wand permits to wizards in north america, but also any visiting wizards.
Federal Office for the Detection and Confiscation of Counterfeit Defensive Spells and Protective Objects: tasked with confiscating fake protective spells and charmed or cursed objects
Federal Misuse of No-Maj Artefacts Office: tasked with the regulation on the use of magic on no-maj objects and keeping items that had been bewitched away from no-majs. members of the office often participate in raids to keep dark magic items out of circulation.
Federal Improper Use of Magic Office: tasked with enforcing and regulating the violations of the international confederation of wizards' statute of secrecy, arguably the most prominent international wizarding law of them all which prohibits wizards and witches from performing magic in the presence of no-majs or in a no-maj-inhabited area, and of the decree for the reasonable restriction of underage sorcery, that restricts underage wizards from performing magic outside school.
dpt regulation and control of magical creatures
Head of Department: these people run their own departments, but ultimately answer to the president
Assistant Head of Department: these people answer to the head of department, but often do the same jobs.
Federal Beast Division: these people deal with all duties and problems concerning those magical creatures classified as a "beast"
Sub Division Centaur Offices: these people are supposed to liaise with centaurs, however no centaur has ever stepped foot (or hoof) into the office. it is considered a bit of a joke office
Sub Division Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures: the committee is responsible for the execution of any magical creatures deemed to be a threat to the wizarding world so as well as office workers there are also executioners.
Sub Division Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau: the bureau is presumably responsible for all dragon-related services including but not limited to: illegal trading, breeding, discovery of new species and protection from extinction.
Sub Division Werewolf and Vampire Capture Unit and Registry: the unit is tasked with the capture of any werewolves or vampires deemed to be a threat, although, they are not be the best funded or highest priority segment of the department. the registry office is a fairly new addition and not especially well managed. vampires are especially irate about being thrown in with the beasts, despite being classified as beings.
Federal Being Division: these people deal with all duties and problems concerning those magical creatures classified as a "being"
Sub Division Goblin Offices: this is the section which takes care of the magic economy and the relations between goblins and wizards. it is a highly regarded job.
Sub Division House-Elf Relocation Offices: the office is responsible for the allocation and reassignment of house-elves and a tedious experience.
Sub Division Werwolf and Vampire Support: despite werewolves being classed as beasts, they are acknowledged to be beings during their untransformed state, and the werewolf support services offers aid to those afflicted with the condition. the same is available to vampires though with the stigma surrounding them both the service is hardly used and the workers are often forgotten.
Federal Spirit Division: these people deal with all duties and problems concerning those magical creatures classified as a "spirit"
Sub Division Ghost Activities: these people organise things like the headless-hunt and various death-day parties. it's an easy job and certainly one for people who don't mind hanging around dead people.
Sub Division Haunting Relocation Offices: the office is responsible for the allocation and reassignment of ghosts.
Federal Pest Advisory Board: these people provide assistance with serious infestations of wizarding and no-maj homes.
Sub Division Relocation Task Force: if the pest is able to be relocated then this is the task force for the job
Sub Division Extermination Unit: if the pest refuses to move then the extermination unit will be called in (not to be confused with the executioners - think of these guys like bug extermination)
Sub Division Ghoul Task Force: the task force is called upon to investigate circumstances in which ghouls move in to residential areas and become a problem for the inhabitants.
Federal Office of Misinformation: the office is only employed during the worst magical/no-maj collisions, when an incident is so obviously magical in nature that no-maj authorities have a hard time explaining it. in such cases, the office liaises directly with the no-maj president to create a plausible excuse for the incident.
Federal Body for Protection of Magical Species: the people that work for this office generally take into account the needs and wants of magical species and try to accommodate to prevent rioting. it is a hard job and very long hours. it has been said that the department may have favourite species that get more than others - veela for example always seem to get their way.

Invisibility Task Force: the task force's job is to keep magical creatures and places in the wizarding world out of sight of no-majs.
