R E G I S T E R I N G

i. while proboards lets you register with any username, at PJ we prefer if you could register using your characters FIRST NAME for ease of tagging. if that is already taken then use FIRSTNAME + LAST INITIAL. Eg: HarryP
ii. your ooc account can, of course, be any username you want.
iii. once your account is registered please change your display name to first +last in all caps. you can add your character's middle name if you'd like. Your option.
iv. you do not have to wait for your ooc account to be sorted before you make a character. do both, go crazy!

C H A R A C T E R
C R E A T I O N

i. When creating your character please check their surname - if it's already taken then just ask the person if you can use it. i understand that some surnames are more common that others, but there are millions to choose from. obviously this doesn't apply if you're making a family member of the character.
ii. after that we have a short application for you to fill in, then post in the registration board.
iii. at pj your first character can have two free abilities. any additional abilities for that character or characters after must be paid for with dragots that you earn through posting and competitions etc.
iv. each member is allowed up to five free characters, if you want more after that you must buy a character slot!
v. your five free characters must have at least ten in character posts each before you make your sixth - this is to try and combat flash character making and prevent lots of character deletion!
vi. we are LGBTQ friendly and encourage variety and diversity in your characters!
vii. once your account has changed colour, you're good to post everywhere else. stake your claims and maybe start with a plotter?

G R A P H I C S

i. each character MUST be represented by a living person and a person only. no cartoon characters or anime characters. there are loads to choose from, your list is not restricted. if you need help then ask around!
ii. each account can have a 150x150 avatar which can be a gif or still. a 220x100 gif or still and a 250x400 still image. please do not make the bigger image a gif because they can be slow and ugly to load when they're so big.
iii. for your ooc account you can have whatever images you like as long as there is no excessive nudity or sensitive material.

T H R E A D I N G

i. we have no word count - but that doesn't mean you can get stingy if people give you longer replies. try and match up where possible. it's no fun writing a 700+ reply to get a paragraph back.
ii. at pj we have labels to mark our threads - to add a label when you make a thread press the little cog button (top right) then labels and select the labels that will apply to the thread.
iii. once the thread is completed or has died please add the 'Finished' label. Open - means anyone can reply to the thread (once someone has replied you might want to remove the label if you don't want a rude interruption!) Moderate - means there might be some moderate adult content.
iv. assume that anything moderate or above will have triggers so read at your own risk. also moderate and above threads must have the consent of both role-players. by replying to the thread you are agreeing to be open to have a conversation about the rating of your writing.
v. if you are uncomfortable with anything happening in a thread you are partaking in, feel free to pm an admin so we can help you out!

G E N E R A L

i. advertising - we have no advertising board! as yet we have no desire to add one it so until then we are an affiliates only site. so please do not advertise unless you are affiliating with us!
ii. cbox/tagbox - don't create trouble in the box. it's a place where you can chat nicely with everyone. keep it PG, yo! we want to look presentable to visitors!
iii. respect - be polite and considerate to everyone, lets just be decent humans, yeah? if you really are having problems with someone then message an admin and we'll help you out. but otherwise, enjoy!
