So for this bby, the face claim is entirely open, but I've suggested Daniel Sunjata as the face and for the sake of this ad, I'm going to call him "Dan," but you can come up with whatever name you want for this character! So this guy here is Nic's best friend, whom he's known ever since they met in their first year at Ilvermorny! They also were in the same house, which was the Wumpus, and Dan probably is either a pure-blood or half-blood that inherited the magic side of his family. Up to you! For the face claim, I'd really love if he was a person of color or of mixed heritage.
The only things that I'd like for you to keep are the following details about Nic's life. So they first met at Ilvermorny, and since they were in the same house, I'd imagine they'd run into each other a lot, had same/similar schedules. They pretty much bonded over similar taste in music, books, even No-Maj literature, and shared similar views on No-Majs. And they've been through thick and thin all through their schooling years. In time, Nic grew to love him as more than just a friend, but he could never tell him his true feelings, in fear of fracturing their close bond.
Whether or not Dan also liked Nic back, Nic didn't know about it. And Dan wouldn't have been able to figure out his feelings due to Nic's ability as an Occlumen. Maybe Dan did like him, but didn't tell him for the same reason Nic didn't. Or maybe after Ilvermorny, he started to develop feelings for Nic afterwards when they continued to hang out together after graduation. Up to you as to whether or not his feelings changed somewhere along the way. So in other words, this is going to be one slow burn romance, but a beaaautiful one at that. :> Also, keep in mind this isn't a future final. Nothing's set in stone, but it'd be interesting to see how this turns out in the future!
When Nic was 16 and came back to school after Christmas break, Dan had already learned about the shameful rumors that had begun plaguing Nic's family after Nic's Auror father mysteriously and supposedly perished in a botched covert mission. Everyone at school had started to shun Nic, as he was the son of a fallen Auror who'd been branded as a traitor. But not Dan. He understood Nic, and was the only one who really stuck by his side, and comforted him while Nic silently grieved over the loss of his father.
After Ilvermorny, it's up to you if he's also an Auror like Nic, or if he's in the MACUSA but just a different job/position. I'd like it if Dan was also in a similar workplace, just so that they'd be able to see each other easily/often, even with Nic's busy job as an Auror.
Other than that, that's pretty much it! His sexuality is also open for you to interpret. His personality is also free to interpret, but I'd imagine that his is quite the opposite of Nic's gruff personality. So think sassier, bright and bubbly, and much more carefree than Nic. And again, his face claim is also negotiable, as long as he's of mixed heritage/person of color! Let's have some diversity! C: Other suggestions are Daniel Henney, Jesse Williams!
