Kinsley E. Little
[attr="class","dropfrumbodytxt"]Kinsley Little grew up in Seattle, Washington. She was to attend Ilvermorny like her father had, but her mother was actually from London and had attended Hogwarts. She worked for the Ministry of Magic and traveled to the states a lot for business. It was where she would meet her future husband. Thomas and Elaine dated for years, only seeing each other when the other was in town. After years, Elaine was finally able to secure a position at the Magical Congress. It was within a year that they were married and pregnant.
Kinsley is an only child. She was a bright girl who never went wanting. She grew up in the bustling city of Seattle. From a young age, her parents exposed her to both the magical and the muggle world. They didn’t believe in the purity of blood even though they were purebloods. Kinsley was their pride and joy and there was no surprise when she got her letter to start at Ilvermorny. She was placed in the Pukwudgie House even though everyone expected her to get into the Wampus house.
There were great hopes for Kinsley. She was a hard worker, a good student, and a good friend. She wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but no one was perfect. Generally speaking though, she was well liked. She loved to engage others and listen to their stories. She encouraged the best in everyone. Kinsley didn’t care about blood status or wealth, she’d make a friend with anyone.
From a young age, she knew she wanted to become an Auror. Both her parents worked for the government. She had always admired the bravery and purpose of the Aurors. She knew how hard she had to work. She was a go-getter and determined. To add to her extracurricular activities, she even played Quidditch as a beater for the last two years.
Right after graduation, she went straight into Auror training. It was tough, but nothing could deter her from her goals. She trained harder, worked harder, stayed longer, and took on any job that was handed to her. Her dream was slowly becoming a reality and it was no wonder when she started moving up in the ranks despite her young age. She was a strong and reliable solider.
Sadly, one event would change Kinsley’s life as she knew it.
While on a mission, their team was ambushed. Kinsley was severely injured. All she could remember was walking into what was supposedly a secured room when she was shot from behind. It had turned out, one of their own had betrayed them. Someone that was a close friend of hers. He had wanted a quick pay out, but in the end, he was double-crossed and didn’t make it through the night.
Kinsley woke up in the hospital. She was bedridden for months. It was a miracle that she wasn’t paralyzed from the waist down. Kinsley was determined to get back on her feet and back to work.
She started physical therapy and pushed herself like she’s never before. It took months before she could even walk, but it wasn’t enough to go back to work. After a year of therapy and bouts of depression, it was beginning to look like there was no hope for her to return being an Auror. Her legs were just too weak to stand long periods of standing, walking, and running.
For the next year, Kinsley isolated herself. She cut ties with her friends and family. She was unemployed and disabled. Finally, a friend suggested se work at Ilvermorny. The former librarian had retired and now there was a position open. The last time Kinsley was utterly happy was within the walls of her school. Despite having some doubts, she decided to take the job.
The once bubbly girl is now ridden with regret and anger.
